Poem: When the Mask Falls Off

When the Mask Falls Off

Two sides to a coin; six faces of a dice
My heart shatters knowing, the pain I entailed thrice
Such loyalty you show, such honor you portray
One thing I know is that you’ve put me astray
Nothing but fake, nothing but cover
Now I realize you’ve stooped down under
For the price of a grain, I thought things were else
When the mask unveiled, you showed your true self

Until then,
Yours x
