Poem: Hurt

Poem: Hurt

And that’s how it is, isn’t it?
You’re never good enough no matter how much you try
Or it never works out the way you want
Because it’s just not meant to be

A year later it all comes back to you
Now you realize what you should’ve known
But then no matter what you do
All those accumulated still gets thrown

Circumstances don’t match, cultures clash
You see how emotions dash
Pain in your heart, sadness in your soul
This is how I suppose you grow old

Anger builds up, walls shatter down
In your tears is where you drown
How can you feel when you’re not even sure
It is the heart that’s full of fear
